Our Story

Having grown up in forestry and agriculture, John-Ross has always had a passion for forestry, mechanics and manual labour. A great metal worker by nature, he quickly learned how to cope with breakdowns, which gave him a wide range of mechanical skills. Welding was a natural choice to hone his skills when he began his Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in welding and fitting in 2009.

He then acquired experience in the mining, forestry and naval sectors, where he met Jérôme Dégarie-Lelièvre. In 2015, they became partners and founded Soudure Mobile JRA. By combining their know-how acquired from shipyards and, later, in several mines and sawmills across Quebec, they were able to form a team bound by a mutual passion for manual labour. Their professional paths split in 2017, but their collaboration has built the company’s solid foundation.

More determined than ever to pursue the passion that drives him, John-Ross obtained various contracts that have allowed the company to broaden its horizons and work throughout Quebec, Ontario and the United States. It is with pride that he has built a team of dynamic and equally passionate people for whom difficult situations represent challenges and give them the opportunity to achieve customer satisfaction and a job well done.
